Vinayaka Mission's Kirupananda Variyar Engineering College Salem was established in the year 1987. It is a private college situated in Salem, Tamil Nadu and runs under the aegis of Vinayaka Mission's Research Foundation (Deemed to be University). The college has been recognised by UGC and has also been approved by AICTE, New Delhi. VMKVEC Salem has also been accredited by NAAC with an “A” grade along with NBA. The college offers higher education to more than 1500 students, pursuing higher education in engineering, technology & management. There are a total of 102 faculty members at the college who are highly experienced and dedicated to their stream.
The VMKVEC Salem courses are offered to interested candidates at UG as well as PG levels. Some of the popular courses offered by the college are BE in Biomedical Engineering, BE in Artificial Intelligence & Data Science, B.Tech in IT, ME Applied Electronics, M.Tech in Design and Solid Waste Engineering and MBA. These courses are offered in full-time, regular mode to candidates. The VMKVEC Salem admission is offered to interested candidates on the basis of merit in the last qualifying exam. For B.Tech admission, candidates must have passed the class 12 exam from a recognised board in the science stream.
